Mobile phones are fast becoming an everyday part of children's lives. In fact, one in five children aged between 5-15 go online via a mobile phone, and this rises to 44% for 12-15 year olds. While smartphones offer great benefits for learning and development, there is a responsibility to ensure a safe and trusted digital playground for children.
Together with EE, we're hosting a seminar to drive industry-wide improvement in advertising practices, with a particular focus on reducing the frequency of adverts appearing in children's apps and websites. Bringing together MNO's, Regulators, Digital Merchants and Compliance Monitoring Partners, we'll be exploring effective approaches currently in practice and discuss new ideas that will go further to safeguard children's digital experiences.
Through this collaborative initiative we hope to reach consensus on an approach that will greatly advance advertising standards, protect consumers and ensure a level-playing field in support of long-term growth for all.
10:30 to 11:30
A selection of presentations and panel discussions covering key insights, including scale, impact, effective approaches and more.
